Thank you. If anything iCloud is pretty much integrated with all Apple devices and could have some kind of advantage based on that though I imagine not. It could have plenty to do with your location though. My suggestion is to contact pCloud support about it. That comes without all the advanced features such as scheduled backups etc. Those are only present with cloud backup providers, not cloud storage providers. However, it is not clear if pCloud uses client-side encryption in every Premium account or just in Crypto. And their servers are also located in US. I performed a new test uploading videos to pCloud and these are the results: a. Client-side encryption is only available within the Crypto folder which is available with the Crypto plan. I recommend getting that due to the fact, as you mentioned, they have their servers located in the US.
Encrypting your files client-side means nobody will ever be able to access your files. It, of course, depends on the speeds limited by your network provider.

I am testing this now and I shared a link to a video in an email, and then when you press Play in the email the video starts playing upside down!!

Whoever clicks on that link then gets to watch the video directly and download it if they desire to do so. I have tried sharing a video via email and opening it on another browser just now.
Check again to make sure you have everything done correctly. Although we have several options in our fingertips for making backups of our sites like importing the files or asking our hosts to make back-up of our sites of course at an additional cost , I find that the back up files of our sites are just files and the designs vanished when disasters occur with our sites.
